You will be responsible for managing the  Workday Security playing  a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls in Workday and processes to protect sensitive HR information and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations. This role consults with cross functional stakeholders to determine Workday security requirements that support business goals and translates those requirements into actionable Workday solutions.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Education
 
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
 
Work Experience
 
5+ years of proven experience in configuring and managing Core HCM and Finance  modules within Workday 
Design and configure security roles, permissions, and data access policies within the Workday system.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define security roles, access controls, and permission sets, ensuring the appropriate level of data security and segregation of duties.
Serve as a core stakeholder in the system change management process ensuring proper security for Workday changes moving to Production.
Administer user access requests, provisioning, and deprovisioning within Workday.
Define security groups, configure data access policies, and assign appropriate permissions to users based on their roles and responsibilities.
Conduct periodic access reviews to ensure that user access privileges align with job responsibilities, business need, governance, and the Workday security model.
Implement and enforce user access controls to mitigate risks related to data breaches or unauthorized system usage.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their access requirements and translate them into appropriate security roles within Workday.
Ensure changes follow the appropriate change request approval and documentation process, security group updates are tested thoroughly in sandbox prior to implementing in production.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate security audits, provide necessary documentation, and address any identified security gaps.
Lead the response efforts in case of security incidents within the Workday system.
Conduct thorough investigations to determine the cause, impact, and extent of security incidents.
Conduct risk assessments, identify potential security risks, and propose risk mitigation strategies.
Proactively identify and address any potential compliance issues related to data access, data retention, and data sharing.
Stay up to date with data privacy regulations, industry best practices, and internal policies to ensure Workday security configurations are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with the latest Workday security features and enhancements. Evaluate and implement new security tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the overall security posture of the Workday system.
Continuously monitor and assess security controls, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Provide user support and training on Workday security-related topics. Conduct training sessions and develop educational materials to raise awareness about Workday security and mitigate risks.
Assist users with security-related issues, troubleshoot access problems, and provide guidance on security best practices.
Maintain up-to-date documentation and knowledge base resources related to security administration.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
 
Knowledge of general business processes and how data and software applications support them.
Strong business acumen with the ability to link strategy with HR solutions.
Advanced knowledge of OKTA  and Microsoft 365
Must be highly autonomous and self-motivated; demonstrating sound judgment, initiative and ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
Must have demonstrated natural leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
Ability to work expeditiously, adapt to continually changing priorities, and demonstrate analytical skills
WORKDAY HCM/FINACE/INTEGRATION /Reporting  knowledge
 
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred
 
Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA), and the unique security challenges in the healthcare industry.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
•    Configure and maintain Core HCM/Finance and Role-Based / User-Based Security to meet the organization’s business requirements.
•    Stay up to date with compliance requirements (as applicable to the module) to ensure processes and workflows are compliant with any local laws. Make necessary system adjustments to accommodate changes in regulations.
Generate regular reports and analytics related to module information for insights or audit purposes. Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
•    Investigate and resolve discrepancies, errors, and escalated employee inquiries within a respective module in a timely manner.
•    Partner with HR /Finance Operations and HRIT to participate in system testing and upgrades to ensure relevant modules function correctly and efficiently. Understand future releases (R1 and R2) and demo to stakeholder groups for discussion / application.
•    Partner to train end-users and stakeholders on how to use different functionality within the modules effectively. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance.
•    Collaborate with other teams to understand the needs of differing Business process.
Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and improve module processes. Propose and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
•    The above responsibilities would be applied to select modules below based on the structure of the role and HRIS team:
•    Oversee the underlying structure and configuration of the system as it relates to business processes, workflows, logic, organizational structure, and data.
•    Oversee the configuration of role and user-based security assignments across the organization to ensure domains and data objects are correctly applied to enable users to perform as well as drive data protection specifications.
