The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate demand forecasts in accordance with the Division Director guidance. This role integrates data and insights from Sales, Finance, Marketing, Supply Planning, and Product Development to deliver a best‑in‑class demand management process.
As a key partner to the commercial organization, the Demand Planning Manager leads the monthly demand review process for assigned customers and product categories, driving alignment on forecast assumptions and ensuring visibility to risks and opportunities.
 
What You’ll Do
Demand Forecasting & Analysis
  • Develop and maintain operational forecasts across multiple time horizons and aggregation levels.
  • Analyze historical sales trends, identify demand drivers, and adjust forecasts and cleanse history to reflect market dynamics, promotional activity, and customer behavior.
  • Prepare forecast datasets, run statistical models, and evaluate forecast accuracy and bias to drive continuous improvement.
 
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Lead monthly forecast discussions with Sales and Marketing to review trends, assumptions, and updated demand signals.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure all forecasts incorporate the latest business intelligence and strategic inputs.
  • Partner with retailer replenishment analysts and external teams to understand POS trends, inventory positions, replenishment strategies, and planned activities.
 
S&OP / IBP Support
  • Contribute to the demand planning portion of the S&OP/IBP cycle by providing clear forecast summaries, key risks, opportunities, and supporting analysis.
  • Reconcile significant forecast variances and align cross‑functional partners on revised expectations.
 
Systems & Tools
  • Use and maintain the demand planning system as the primary forecasting platform, ensuring data accuracy and process integrity.
  • Support enhancements to forecasting tools, data quality, and reporting capabilities.
 
Inventory & Supply Support
  • Provide demand insights to Supply Planning to guide inventory strategies for current products, new launches, and product transitions and life cycles.
  • Help ensure inventory levels meet customer service targets while supporting company financial objectives.
 
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Follow all internal controls, policies, and procedures relevant to the demand planning function.
  • Contribute to department and organizational success by supporting additional projects, process improvements, and analytical tasks as needed.
 
Who You Are:
 
Qualifications: 
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior demand planning role; CPG industry experience is strongly preferred.
 
Skills and Experience: 
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with strong understanding in statistical forecasting techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of core Supply Chain concepts and processes.
  • Ability to interpret, evaluate, and synthesize complex datasets to support strategic decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, compelling insights to varied stakeholders.
  • Highly self-driven, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence across all levels of the organization. 

Compensation: 

  • The budgeted salary range for this role is 120-125k/annually based on experience.
 

Environmental Factors:  
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the office 4 days a week with Friday being a work from anywhere day.
