Sr. Director, HR Programs
Conair is seeking a highly strategic, execution‑oriented Sr. Director, HR Programs to serve as a key advisor to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and a core member of the HR Leadership Team. This senior role will lead global, enterprise‑level programs with board‑level visibility, drive the HR transformation agenda, and ensure operational excellence across major cross‑functional initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of HR expertise, consulting‑style problem‑solving, strong financial acumen, and disciplined program leadership. This leader excels at translating strategy into actionable plans, managing complex global workstreams, and influencing senior stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Program Leadership & Strategic Execution
- Lead end‑to‑end planning, execution, and governance of high‑priority global HR programs and transformation initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination for enterprise HR projects with board‑level visibility.
- Develop and manage roadmaps, timelines, communication frameworks, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Produce executive‑ready updates, dashboards, and materials for CHRO briefings, board meetings, and senior leadership forums.
- Manage the cadence, preparation, and coordination of HR‑related board materials and presentations.
Organizational Effectiveness & Change Leadership
- Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to assess organizational effectiveness and recommend structural or operational improvements.
- Lead the design and implementation of organizational changes aligned with Conair’s strategic priorities.
- Build and execute global change management strategies that drive adoption, minimize disruption, and enhance employee engagement.
- Facilitate workshops, alignment sessions, and cross‑functional working groups to maintain clarity, alignment, and momentum.
- Support the development and rollout of enterprise HR frameworks, operating models, and playbooks.
HR Strategy, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Partner closely with the CHRO to advance the HR strategic roadmap and transformation priorities.
- Analyze HR, financial, and organizational data to inform decision‑making, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable, repeatable solutions that strengthen HR’s operating rhythm.
- Provide strategic oversight and partnership on compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs as needed.
- Ensure HR programs are aligned with business objectives, financial realities, and global workforce needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or business school experience strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in HR, program management, organizational effectiveness, or business operations.
- Consulting background (internal or external) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‑functional programs in a global, matrixed environment.
- Strong understanding of HR functions, organizational design, compensation & benefits, and change management principles.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to craft executive‑ready and board‑level materials.
- Strong financial acumen with experience interpreting financial data and managing program budgets.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency with program and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Microsoft Project).
- Experience in transformation, restructuring, or high‑growth environments.
Environmental Factors:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
- This role requires Stamford, CT office on-site presence Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere on Fridays.
