Description:
 
We are seeking a senior engineer with strong cybersecurity leadership skills to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Clarity Innovations, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our products.

The candidate will be responsible to provide Security Architecture and Engineering support to the customer including, but not limited to, enabling the delivery, accreditation, and operation of a suite of mobile operations tools as the system’s Technical Cybersecurity Lead. This is a technical security architect/engineering role, not an ISSM/ISSO role.

The candidate must be familiar with agile development and security methodologies, as well as systems engineering and architecture practices and security best practices. The candidate must have experience in the use of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps / DevSecOps principles. The candidate must be familiar with cloud technologies (particularly AWS), mobile application development.

Primary Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to):
 
  • Expert in Air Force / DoD / NIST RMF practices, particularly in helping define and implement accreditation strategies for technical system designs
  • Propose and guide security accreditation strategy
  • Drive security control and security architecture design and technical implementation, secure configuration, and compelling evidence generation, gathering and reporting to the supporting ISSOs and ISSM
  • Prepare and deliver artifacts, documentation, risk assessments and proposed mitigation plans to stakeholders, following best practices like the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Lead security architecture and design for integrated systems that contain both cloud and mobile/edge technologies
  • Drive the design and integration of security architecture, capabilities, and controls into system designs
  • Build and maintain the technical body of evidence for accreditation package(s)
  • Lead flexible approach to meet underlying intent of security policy and requirements to establish defensible technical and policy compliance positions
  • Finalize and implement Continuous Monitoring Plan
  • Maintain security posture and accreditation

Required: 
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience with DoD network engineering/management
  • Minimum 5 years specified work in Cyber Security
  • MUST hold both DoD 8570-M IAT II or IAT or IAT III and DoD 8570-M IASAE II or IASAE III
  • MUST be eligible to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

Desired:
  • Understanding of mobile platforms / frameworks, mobile device and application security concepts, and DoD mobile policy and their interactions with mission systems
  • Familiarity with agile accreditation processes such as USAF Agile Authorization
  • Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance 
  • Ability to travel to support in-person customer meetings, if requested
