Join our team as our newest Practice Coach. This opportunity is as rewarding as it is challenging and fun. The Practice Coach is responsible for providing management coaching to VGP members who choose to utilize the management support provided by VGP.  The Practice Coach is also responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all prospective members, current members and vendor partner representatives by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of all membership benefits.  The Practice Coach will also be responsible for communicating effectively with all other members of the VGP team.  This position requires practical knowledge of management strategies, standard procedures, and terminology used in a veterinary hospital.


  • Work with members to improve management of their business, including but not limited to the following areas; marketing, human resources, financial management, inventory management, operations, strategic planning, leadership, client care, and patient care
  • Schedule, perform, and provide continual follow up for members that go through the Practice Health Assessment
  • Compile and present results of the Practice Health Assessment to members, meet with members to prioritize their goals, provide resources, recommendations, and support to help them successfully complete their goals
  • Develop new resources or training that will aid practices in accomplishing their goals
  • Help improve practices by assessing weaknesses and recommending solutions
  • Evaluate financial data provided by members to help them find methods to increase revenue, decrease expenses, and run a more profitable business
  • Help practices with implementation of Pathway Planning
  • Review ways to maximize their member benefits and make recommendations to increase utilization of our partners
  • Report measurables to Practice Coach manager as requested
  • Effectively manage tickets, including but not limited to new enrollments and contact us inquiries
  • Complete new enrollments in database
  • Make welcome calls to new members
  • Schedule and complete onboarding calls for all new members
  • Assist current members or vendor reps with membership questions
  • Resolve member concerns/issues
  • Assist members with the coding of their Antech and/or Zoetis account
  • Schedule and complete membership benefits review with prospective members and/or vendor reps as needed
  • Schedule and complete benefits overview with current members
  • Conduct 90 day “check-in” calls to new members
  • Conduct quarterly/bi-annually “check-in” calls to current members
  • Record all conversations with prospective/current members in the database
  • Effectively manage incoming calls and emails
  • Engage members to utilize as many vendor partners as possible
  • Attend all VGP workshops and act as a Coach for your assigned table
  • Complete projects as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned including assisting in other areas when needed


At least 4 years experience in a management position
At lease 2 years experience in the veterinary industry at some capacity 

Additional Requirements: 
  • Proven customer support experience
  • Strong phone skills and active listening skills
  • Familiarity with veterinary protocols, procedures and products
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to adapt and respond to all personality types
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office


  • Must be able to travel up to 8 times per year
  • Must be able to work under the broad general administrative supervision of the Practice Coach Manager and Customer Service Manager, and be able to use sound personal judgment in selecting methods, establishing priorities, and arriving at conclusions
  • Must be able to tactfully demonstrate “take charge” capabilities  
  • May be required to work uncommon hours
Salary Compensation: ~ $45K annually
