Pathway is a Morgan Stanley Global Private Equity portfolio company and a leading veterinary management organization overseeing operations for over 200+ hospitals in the US. We are currently seeking an experienced Veterinary M&A Manager to join our rapidly growing team. The Veterinary Business Development Manager will lead both the pre- and post- merger transaction process.

  • Managing the ongoing cross-functional relationship and diligence process of a hospital acquisition.  
  • Strong strategic and tactical communication planning and execution skills
  • Ability to discuss and champion the business case for change to a business audience, and then plan and execute solutions that are of recognizable value to the business 
  • Drive and execute key activities throughout the M&A process
  • Deep understanding of a P&L
  • Ability to quarterback the needs of various aspects of the deal
  • Leading Due Diligence and supporting Pathway decision making
  • Provide support in post-merger integration activities across business and corporate functions
  • Manage reporting and resolution of issues, risks and dependencies, proactively identifying potential planning gaps, suggesting mitigations to risks, actions to close issues or complete open items
  • Liaise with acquired entity leadership, to facilitate effective coordination

  • The ability to think in complex and ever-changing situations, strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems, execute and transfer knowledge
  • Must have experience in developing project plans and presentations
  • Must demonstrate willingness to put in the extra effort (extended work hours, participate in events outside of standard working hours), for company and personal success
  • Excellent communications and facilitation skills to build relationships and foster trust at all organizational levels


  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or Business or extensive experience to support

  • Veterinary Hospital Management or Industry Leadership Experience (Preferred)
