Position Summary

Ashoka is seeking a Tech Support Specialist to provide in-person and remote support to Ashoka’s globally distributed teams. The Specialist will work on a range of projects including administering Active Directory, troubleshooting client issues, deploying/administering cloud services, managing inventory, upgrading systems, and other critical IT functions. This is a great opportunity for someone with limited experience to build their technology and IT management skills.

Specific Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide in-person and remote desktop/laptop support for globally distributed teams
  • Support server troubleshooting with Infrastructure team
  • Administer Active Directory
  • Administer Office365 with particular focus on Exchange user management
  • Administer VOIP phone system, monthly report generation, and troubleshooting
  • Administer cloud-based files system, access controls, user management, and feature implementation
  • Administer global office printers/copiers, monthly report generation, and troubleshooting
  • Administer security and remote device management infrastructure
  • Provide support for video conferencing infrastructure and troubleshooting
  • Administer hardware and software inventory, purchasing, and warranty support
  • Support infrastructure testing and system deployment
  • Document processes and procedures to optimize performance
  • Work with technical team to plan and/or implement global IT projects

Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with users/clients in-person and remotely to address hardware and software issues
  • Experience configuring Microsoft Windows 10/11, Office 365, Apple Mac OSX in a Domain environment
  • Experience with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory administration
  • Experience developing and conducting trainings for remote and in-person constituents
  • Ability to learn quickly through accessing a variety of resources
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to manage time wisely and prioritize activities to achieve results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing network diagrams and detailed network/client inventories preferred
  • Experience with Office365 hosted Exchange and PowerShell
  • Familiarity with Cisco networking infrastructure and concepts
  • Familiarity with Project Management concepts
