Position Summary:

Ainsworth is currently looking for an Electrical Supervisor for our projects in Greater Vancouver Regional District and surrounding areas The role leads, directs, and exercises management & coordination over all aspects of electrical projects including planning, organizing, budgeting, and cost reporting. The role will ensure that the goals and objectives of each project are accomplished on schedule and within budget and that quality and safety standards are met.


Responsibilities

  • Plan all operations, develop project schedules, and plan intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) with attention to budgetary limitations and coordinate appropriately
  • Find ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies within the project management cycle
  • Organize, direct, and control daily operations including completion of work scope, ensuring the use of company OHS policies and procedures, and on-site inventory management.
    Review and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Coordinate with the site coordinators or general superintendents

 

Qualifications

  • 10 years of electrical experience required in the residential/commercial sectors
  • 3-5 years of experience in supervising projects
  • Good understanding of Arc Flash and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
  • Red-Seal Journeyman will be an asset
  • Must have Valid Class B FSR or higher & valid class 5 driver’s license
  • Extensive knowledge of CEC
  • Willingness to work out of town, on call, longer shifts, and/or evening/night shifts
  • Ability to problem solve independently
  • Personable with confidence to deal with clients
  • Pro-active, organized, and extremely professional
  • Passionate about the construction and design industry
  • Success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
