Position Summary:  
  
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the collection activity for a specified group of accounts as defined by the Business Unit. This role involves participating in Accounts Receivable (A/R) review meetings with Business Unit Managers and the Accounts Receivable Team, distributing monthly A/R sub-ledgers, reviewing problem collection accounts with the Credit and Collections Manager, and performing other duties as assigned by the Credit and Collections Manager.  
  
Responsibilities:  
  
  • Conduct collection activities for a designated group of accounts, adhering to company terms of sale and utilizing effective collection procedures.
  • Communicate with customers and operational managers to resolve disputes and problems through the company's customer dispute resolution program.
  • Hold monthly A/R review meetings with operational groups to resolve disputes and identify problem collection accounts.
  • Review problem collection accounts with the Credit and Collections Manager for further resolution.
  • Document follow-up calls related to A/R activities.
  • Process payments and conduct client account reconciliations.
  • Collect data from collection activities and prepare metrics as instructed by the Credit and Collections Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Credit and Collections Manager.
Qualifications:  
  
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance preferred, or 2-3 years of equivalent work experience in collections.
  2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics SL and Great Plains accounts receivable modules is advantageous.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
