  • Be a team leader and the go-to person for on-site items and issues
  • Read and interpret Control, Mechanical, Electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
  • Pull wire through conduits and develop wire pathways.
  • Install brackets and hangers to support control equipment and wiring.
  • Install, replace and/or repair building automation control equipment and devices.
  • Mount, install field devices (i.e. thermostats, supply/return air temp sensors, controllers, etc.)
  • Perform point-to-point verification on BMS (Building Management Systems).
  • Confirm correct I/O (Inputs/Outputs) configuration.
  • Wire/Terminate Control Panels and Unit Controllers.
  • Work with other contractors on equipment Startups to ensure BMS integration and communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Main skills required:

  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Tech-Savvy with computers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • First Aid training considered an asset
  • Commercial/construction installations experience a plus.
  • Class C driver’s license and clean driver’s record.


  • Current LEA/LEB License for OR
Experience preferred but not required:
  • 1 - 3 years experience in the building controls automation industry.
  • 2+ years of construction and/or installation experience.
