Cloud Financial Operations Lead (FinOps)

Position Details:
Term: 3-6 month contract-to-hire
Location: onsite in downtown Manhattan (most likely potential for hybrid down the road).
Hours: Mon-Friday standard business hours
Hourly pay + benefits. Up to $67.31/hr on contract. $150-180K range as perm hire.
Our healthcare client in NYC is looking for a dynamic Cloud Financial Operations Lead to join their team.

What you'll do as the Cloud FinOps Lead

- Liaison with engineering and finance teams.
- Leverage tools including Data Dog, Splunk, Elastic, Snowflake
- Manage cloud cost optimization, allocation and mapping.
- Manage Yotascale cloud cost management & mapping tool.
- Monthly consumption reviews to discover optimization areas, cost management.
- Work with AI teams at Flatiron on estimation of new projects and management of associated AWS pricing.
- Also responsible for managing all RFPs for IT at Flatiron.
- Manage 100 software vendors for renewals, pricing negotiations.
- Leverage Tropic tool for renewals and negotiations with software firms.
- Possible Supervisor to 1 direct report, for IT asset management
What you'll bring to the table:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field. Master's degree preferred or 8+ years experience in IT Operations, Cloud Ops.
- Experience responding to RFPs
