Position Overview:

The R2R Specialist (Record-to-Report) is responsible for managing key areas of the financial close process, ensuring that account balances are accurate, fully reconciled, and supported. The role involves reviewing journal entries, handling complex reconciliations, and ensuring completeness of financial data prior to reporting.

What you’ll do as a R2R Specialist:

• Manage month-end close activities for assigned accounts, ensuring timely completion
• Review journal entries and validate accuracy before posting
• Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and clear open items
• Investigate unusual variances and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for reporting and audits
• Ensure all accounts are reconciled and supported before close sign-off
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve missing or incorrect data
• Maintain control over account balances and supporting documentation
• Ensure all assigned accounts are fully reconciled and supported before close sign-off

What you will bring to the team:

Requirements

• 2 – 4 years of experience in R2R / General Ledger
• Strong experience with:
  • Financial close processes
  • Complex reconciliations
• Ability to review and correct journal entries and account balances
• Understanding of financial reporting and control requirements
• Assist the Line Manager on the Financial reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and analysis

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Finance preferred), or an equivalent qualification / certification (Preferably Articles from A rated Firm) CMA/CA part qualified, ACCA qualified
