ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY 

 

The Inside Account Executives are vital in building and managing relationships with new and strategic customers at Wind River. You will focus on renewing existing business while generating new leads in your region through prospecting. After closing new deals, you will also pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

A team of colleagues across Wind River will support you in achieving your revenue goals. This will include pre-sales technical experts, professional services, management, post-sales technical support and dedicated sales administration. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across Wind River Account Managers who address complex business and engineering issues with our customers. Field Application Engineers who craft technical solutions for our customers. Various internal departments to craft a complete deal packet.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Selling Wind River software development tools, customer training, and professional services engagements.
  • Leading and closing the renewal of existing subscriptions and maintenance contracts.
  • Providing relevant market and account information to Account Managers for effective prospecting, including supporting sales and marketing activities, researching markets and accounts, and preparing detailed quotes/proposals.
  • Collaborating with the Account Manager, Technical Account Manager, and Services Sales Manager throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Contributing to the account planning process.
  • Monitoring and following up on dormant accounts/departments.
  • Ensuring accurate communication with all stakeholders in the sales process, including deal desk, legal, finance, and export teams.
  • Understanding and executing complex sales contracts.
  • Closing deals you initiate and supporting field sales teams in closing larger, more complex deals.
  • Maintaining customer data in the Salesforce CRM system

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • 2- 4 years of sales and prospecting experience in a technology-focused corporate environment (software sales preferred).
  • Ability to run and close complex deals with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in cold-calling, prospecting, and lead generation.
  • Track record of closing sales up to the $1M range.
  • Professional work ethic and integrity.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts of the Embedded Software industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $88,000 to $101,200 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $92,600 to $106,520 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
