ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY & THE TEAM     

This is an exciting, high-impact role for a Product Management Leader with a passion for mission-critical software who wants to effect change worldwide.     


RESPONSIBILITIES     

As a member of the Intelligent Edge Product Management team, you will be the single-threaded leader for the Helix Virtualization Platform portfolio which is part of the larger Wind River Software Platform. As a coach/player, you will lead a team of product managers, aggregating input from external customers, sales, market research, fellow product managers, partners, etc., to execute against the broad product strategy and drive product truth.     

You will own the roadmap and its rationalization, understand the competitive landscape, and deliver against industry-specific needs (automotive, defense, industrial, etc.) to ensure revenue growth.     

You will work in close partnership with experienced Product Management, Engineering, and Sales teams.

      

ABOUT YOU     

You are a senior level Product Management Leader with experience with operating systems or similarly complex platforms, middleware, and associated tools and technologies.

Qualifications & Experience     

  • 8+ years of increased external Product Management experience with commercial software products, preferably operating systems.
  • Effective Product Management skills including trend analysis, roadmap creation, prioritization and backlog, customer requirements gathering, market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM), etc.
  • Recent software Product Management experience in one of the following market verticals is mandatory: aerospace and defense, automotive, or industrial/medical.
  • Ability to articulate current virtualization macro trends.
  • Experience with Hypervisor Type 1 technology and Virtualization
  • Demonstrated leadership of senior Product Managers.
  • Demonstrated application of business rationalization against a technical product.
  • Demonstrated experience writing requirements for engineering.
  • Ability to attract, hire, coach, and retain talent.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration mindset.
  • Solid technical understanding of embedded hypervisors.
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, MBA a plus. Bachelor’s degree with suitable experience.
  • Must have US Citizenship.
  • While this role is external, minimal travel is required (5%)

Compensation
The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $165,900 - $224,000 plus bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents; and, $175,400 - $236,720 plus bonus for California (SF Bay Area) and Washington (Greater Seattle) residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, 12 paid holidays. 

Security Clearance Requirements      
Successful candidates must engage in a security clearance process in regards to their citizenship in order to perform fundamental job duties, as per applicable law.
