ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY 

Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced high-performing full-stack software engineer with strong DevSecOps skills for a position supporting a cloud-based application development team.

As a Member of Technical Staff at Wind River, the candidate will be responsible for designing/development cloud software and managing and optimizing our infrastructure and deployment processes. Your primary focus will be on backend skills(node.js), Terraform, Cloudify, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and the AWS stack including AWS ECR, Networking and EKS, to ensure efficient and reliable development and deployment of microservices. Additionally, you will incorporate best practices in cloud security, utilize Cloudify for orchestration, and ensure robust networking configurations.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.

· Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes.

· Utilize AWS services, including AWS ECR and EKS, for container management and orchestration.

· Collaborate with Software Architects, Engineering Leads, and DevSecOps Engineers to follow company guidelines and best practices.

· Create and maintain effective and efficient CI and CD pipelines to deliver microservices images.

· Implement and maintain secure cloud environments following industry best practices.

· Integrate and manage Cloudify for cloud orchestration and automation.

· Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues to ensure high availability and performance.

· Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.

· Ensure robust network configurations and maintain network security.

· Continuously improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security.

· Work directly with a highly skilled development team to provide support for architectural design decisions

 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

· Proven experience as a backend designer, developer and DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.

· Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 7 years with Master’s degree; or Ph D with 6 years’ experience

· Strong expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code.

· In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.

· Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly AWS ECR and EKS.

· Proficiency in deploying and managing microservices architectures.

· Experience with cloud security practices and Installers implementation.

· Knowledge of Cloudify for cloud orchestration.

· Strong understanding of networking concepts and network security.

· Strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

· Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

· Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Experience working with Agile frameworks
