Splunk’s Nova team is passionate about enabling Splunkers to innovate quickly and securely by efficiently delivering infrastructure as a service. This team has already delivered applications that enable Splunkers to spin up infrastructure on demand. The team is now actively seeking a Software Engineer with an analytical mind and passion for designing and developing the next generation cloud platform that offers Splunkers a secure and compliant way to create infrastructure using a simple self-service interface. What you'll get to do

• Develop full stack applications that interface directly with Splunk and Cloud Infrastructure
• Tackle performance and stability issues using a wide variety of tools, including Splunk
• Work with Product Managers and Engineers to prioritize and define development objectives
• Participate in various Scrum ceremonies as a member of the agile team
• Contribute to the team by sharing knowledge, and keeping up with the new trends and best practices as they evolve in the industry

Must-have Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing software solutions with solid software engineering principles and development experience using object oriented programming and scripting languages (Javascript, Python, etc.)
• Have experience building large-scale stateless container-based applications
• Strong analytical skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously
• 2+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and solid understanding of cloud-native services and solutions
• Experience with test automation tools and utilities
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

• Splunk Administration and observability tools
• Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Packer, Ansible, Systems Administration

Education

• BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience

Base Pay Range

Costa Rica

Base Pay: CRC 28,800,000.00 - 39,600,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
