Role summary

Join our dynamic team at Splunk as a Senior Manager of Technical Writing, where you'll lead and mentor a group of talented writers and editors dedicated to delivering high-quality content for our customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our documentation meets the needs of technically-minded users, empowering them to effectively apply Splunk software.
 
You will be a great addition to the Splunk Product Experience organization if you:
  • Lead and manage a team of technical writers, providing mentorship and support in crafting clear and accurate English-language documentation that enables customers to use and manage Splunk software effectively and efficiently.
  • Drive the development and maintenance of web-based documentation and UI content, continuously improving content based on customer feedback and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to define documentation requirements and priorities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the technical writing team, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
  • Actively engage the team with research, other customer-facing roles, and with customers to understand their needs and address any challenges or concerns related to documentation.
What you’ll bring
  • 7+ years of experience in managing technical writing, with a focus on enterprise software products.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing teams and delivering high-quality documentation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities in a dynamic development environment at a fast-paced company.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate user feedback and continuously improve documentation based on customer needs.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant professional experience.

Note: Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

Base Pay Range 
Poland
Base Pay:  PLN 272,000.00 - 374,000.00 per year
