As a Product Manager on the Observability platform team at Splunk, you will work in an entrepreneurial, cross-functional and collaborative environment, working with engineering, design, marketing and sales counterparts to define and drive key functionalities within our Observability products.

Role

We are looking for a Product Manager to help bring our industry leading monitoring platform to a new level. You will work closely with your peers in product, engineering, design, and GTM team to prioritize and drive a roadmap of innovative capabilities around monitoring, visualization, and alerting experiences in line with our customer needs.
This position requires your understanding the users’ needs and workflow, instincts and creativity to ideate and implement new user journeys, and technical expertise. Knowledge of development will enable you to produce clear product requirements and navigate the technical complexity of our monitoring products, including the metrics and streaming analytics platform.
This position will be based in the Krakow office in Poland and will need to work with our distributed team across Seattle, San Jose, RTP offices in the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand customer and user needs in depth; communicate those needs crisply and succinctly within Splunk; and work with design and engineering teams to translate those needs into clear priorities, a compelling roadmap, high-impact, innovative features, and sharp product requirements
  • Actively maintain a view of how the market, competition and technologies are evolving, and factor it, as well as feedback from internal groups and customers, into the product direction
  • Collaborate with product marketing, support and the sales team to drive GTM efforts and solve for business limiters within your control and pursue key business accelerants

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize requirements across conflicting dimensions and to be clear on the minimum capabilities that matter
  • Able to independently identify significant opportunities in an ambiguous area and build consensus around roadmaps
  • A passion for customer journey, user experience, usability and a knack for simplicity; willing and able to dive deep into technical requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead, collaborate and influence via persuasion, patience and energy
  • Familiar with Cloud Provider platforms and services. Comfortable with deploying simple examples for demonstration of product capabilities and/or in support of marketing activities.
  • Excellent analytical / problem-solving skills. Ability to identify patterns and synthesize disparate data into a coherent whole
  • Experience with developing software, understanding engineering tradeoffs, and an intuition for the needs of the developers and operators who use our products
  • Willing to do whatever it takes to get quality products and features to market on time

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in product management or technical product management role
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g. Technical Consultant, Solution Architect, Pre-sales Consultant, Sales Engineering, Technical Marketing)
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • MBA from a top-tier program
  • Background in enterprise SaaS; bonus if those were monitoring or analytics related
  • Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle, experience with Agile software methodologies

Note: 
Base Pay Range 
Poland 
Base Pay: PLN 196,000.00 - 269,500.00 per year 
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
