Role Summary

Splunk’s Enterprise Automations (EA) team is passionate about building RPA solutions to streamline business processes and derive significant operational efficiencies for Splunkers and customers. The team is actively seeking a Software Engineer with an analytical mind and a passion for designing and developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions. You will be one of the founding members of this team and you will be designing, developing, testing, and implementing RPA solutions. What you'll get to do

  • Building and sustaining a cohesive Enterprise Automation platform.
  • Lead the development of rapid Proof-of-Concept (POC) automated solutions and services, quickly validating their feasibility.
  • Collaborate with the product team to analyze business requirements, then design and implement RPA bots that leverage RPA technologies.
  • Engage in hands-on development using various automation technologies, including the application of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to craft intelligent automations.
  • Conduct thorough testing of RPA solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with business requirements.
  • Document technical designs, release notes and other project documentation in confluence to support development, security, operations and maintenance.
  • Perform periodic health checks on the bots, monitor their performance and provide periodic reports.
  • Participate in demos, code reviews, and retrospectives; communicate ideas for team continuous improvement and willingly receive feedback for self-improvement.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive solutions to resolution.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members within the Scrum framework to meet sprint planning objectives.

Must-have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Multiple years of hands-on experience on RPA tools and cognitive platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc
  • Proven experience in design and development of BOTs in at least 2 large scale automation implementations
  • Strong experience in orchestration for deployment, monitoring and management of BOTs
  • Experience across SDLC, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support and maintenance
  • Strong experience documenting technical designs relevant to process modeling
  • Strong collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills, specifically a proven ability to effectively work with others within a dynamic environment
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum and/or Kanban
  • Have a mindset focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, challenging the status quo; intellectual curiosity to continuously improve solutions

Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering solutions using Automation Anywhere platform (Automation 360).
  • Certified in Automation Anywhere Advanced RPA professional or higher.

Education

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics or related field

Base Pay Range

Costa Rica

Base Pay: CRC 28,800,000.00 - 39,600,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
