Engineering Manager, Observability Infrastructure Monitoring

Responsibilities
- Hire and retain top Software Engineering Talent
- Lead by example, set goals for your team, and establish credibility with the quality of your service.
- Cultivate an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a mentor, career advisor, and technical advisor
- Collaborate with product owners and designers to iterate on the design and implementation of our web application
- Ensure stability and performance of both backend services as well as client-side offerings that your team builds and owns
- Identify and drive resolution of roadblocks and issues that impact the success of your team
- Performance appraisal and feedback
- Establish and track critical metrics to meet SLA
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related majors or equivalent experience combined with at least 8 years of software development experience
- 2+ years of direct management experience of teams of 5 or more highly technical engineers, not just as a team lead but as a personnel manager
- Experience developing and delivering scalable, full-stack multi-tenant SaaS products
- Passionate about design and user experience
- Passionate about good engineering practices, new technologies, and improving processes
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have skills:
- Scrum master experience or equivalent certification.
- Have experience leading distributed teams on multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, ReactJS and/or Angular.
- Knowledge and production programming experience in at least one of Java/Python
- Experience in backend web/API frameworks and distributed systems.
Note:
Base Pay Range
India
Base Pay: INR 3,200,000.00 - 4,400,000.00 per year
