Intro

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Executive to join our team, focusing on selling services to clients that have invested in Microsoft platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in enterprise sales and have a solid understanding of Microsoft’s suite of products, especially those focused on modern workplace, Copilot and AI.  Further, Rightpoint expects that this salesperson has a strong understanding of employee experience technology and the value it can create when companies invest. This role demands energy and exceptional communication skills.  To be successful, you’ll need to be capable of driving business growth through effective sales strategies and customer relationship management.

What You’ll Be Doing and The Impact You’ll Make

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets for Microsoft services
  • Identify new business opportunities and manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to winning opportunities that make a big impact for our customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet customer needs
  • Understand Microsoft as an alliance / channel partner, and be able to navigate their organization to build relationships with sales partners
  • Know what you’re selling by staying updated on industry trends and Microsoft product updates to effectively position our services
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our services
  • Working from home but comfortable traveling ~20% of the time to visit customers and partners

 

What We’d Love to See.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise sales, preferably with providing services to customers using Microsoft software
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Modern Work Technologies, including Copilot, Azure, Office 365, Viva, the Power Platform, and related services
  • Understanding of Microsoft as a company, and what drives their different roles to leverage services partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience working with enterprise clients at a VP level in various industries
  • Network of connections at Microsoft
  • Familiarity with sales methods and processes, e.g. Challenger, SPIN, Strongman
  • Advanced degree or certifications in Microsoft Technologies
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools
