Intro:

We are seeking a Senior iOS Developer to join a high-performing mobile engineering team supporting a major financial services organization. This role focuses on building and enhancing large-scale, customer-facing native iOS applications.

You’ll work with modern iOS development tools and frameworks, contribute to new features, and help maintain existing codebases—including some legacy Objective-C modules. The ideal candidate is a strong Swift developer, proactive, adaptable to ambiguity, and capable of working independently within a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and standard Apple frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and backend teams to deliver high-quality mobile features aligned with business requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews.
  • Implement and maintain application architecture, including dependency management and networking layers.
  • Work with and modernize portions of an existing Objective-C codebase.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, identify root causes, and implement robust solutions.
  • Interpret technical requirements with some ambiguity and deliver work autonomously.
  • Follow Agile best practices, participating in sprint ceremonies as needed.
  • Ensure mobile applications meet accessibility, security, and compliance standards required in the financial services domain.

What We’d Like to See:

  • 5+ years of professional iOS development experience building and shipping native mobile apps.
  • Strong expertise in Swift and experience with standard iOS frameworks (UIKit, Foundation, Combine, SwiftUI, etc. as applicable).
  • Experience with networking frameworks (URLSession, Codable, REST APIs) and dependency tools (CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, Carthage).
  • Working familiarity with Objective-C, including the ability to read and extend legacy code.
  • Solid understanding of MVC/MVVM architectures, clean architecture concepts, and dependency injection.
  • Experience integrating with backend services and handling asynchronous programming patterns.
  • Ability to work independently with incomplete requirements and drive tasks to completion.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on large-scale, enterprise-grade iOS applications.
  • Exposure to secure coding practices and compliance-heavy environments (financial, insurance, government, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar).
  • Experience with analytics, A/B testing, or feature flagging systems.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
