Title: Diagnostic Customer Coordinator - Radiology Admin - New Milford, CT - Part time - Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - Variable hours 8-10 hour shifts
Summary:
Primarily serves as a liaison between Radiology professionals and customers to include community physicians, internal physicians, service departments and offsite facilities. Expedities communications to improve customer service for New Milford Hospital, Danbury Hospital, and the rest of the Western Connecticut Health Network.
Responsibilities:
1. Greets and registers patients, directs patient flow from waiting rooms to changing rooms. Has patient fill out proper forms. Assists patient in completion of questionnaire.
2. Compiles all of the scripts and necessary paperwork for the technologist.
3. Serves as a primary point of contact between the patients, community physicians, radiologists and technologists by communicating and responding to patient care issues.
4. Performs all radiology support functions in all areas of the department.
5. Obtains prior films/studies as requested by the radiologist. Utilizes Cerner system and Pacs.
6. Answers phone calls, takes detailed messages to ensure accurate and timely response.
7. Assists other customer service staff as needed to ensure service excellence and quality of care using the Planetree model.
8. Participates in on-going Lean Six Sigma projects at the request of the manager or supervisor.
9. Performs accurate search/selection of patient within the hospital system to maintain the integrity of the Electronic Master Patient Index and to ensure the accuracy of patient identification.
10. Confirms scheduled appointments and coordinates the patient steroid prep process.
11. Assesses in-house and ER patients for ability to comply with MRI. Transports in-house and ER patients.
12. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Skills Experience:
HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
