Summary:
To provide direction, structure, and guidance to various teams through life cycle of various projects. Coordinates activity of resources and tasks across multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
1.Responsible for project implementation & benefits achievement. Works with business and/or IT Sponsors in defining and understanding project scope, budget, objectives, metrics, deliverables, and constraints.
2.Assists sponsors/business units with impact of the solution on existing business practices to determine policy and process changes, organizational & staffing level requirements, training needs & physical location requirements.
3.Tracks project expenditures versus projected budget, taking corrective action as needed.
4.Leads and monitors project teams' work efforts during the project's lifecycle and provides management feedback. Identifies productivity / accountability issues with team members and escalates as appropriate.
5.Develops and disseminates projects plan in timely manner. Assists in project initiation and develops preliminary project plan within timeframe requested for project scheduling.
6.Disseminates issues and concerns to appropriate parties. Escalates functional, quality, resource, or timeline issues appropriately.
7.Issues/decisions identified who task is assigned, status of issue/decision, due date of resolution and impact to project for missing timeframe identified. Provides management with appropriate documentation of issue & its alternatives for decision making.
8.Provides appropriate communication within a timely manner or agreed upon time frames. Provides meeting agendas at minimum 2 business days prior to meetings and minutes are distributed after meetings within three business days.
9.Follow-up issues and action items are included in the minutes identifying responsible party and timeframes. Identifies and documents potential risk with the project and presents to sponsor/ management possible mitigation strategies to reduce the risk.
10.Provides direction to project team on an on-going basis. Clearly communicates expectations and schedules in a timely manner and reviews workload with team. Provides guidance on day to day project management activities.
11.Complies with IT Project Management Office policies, procedures, and templates.
12.Ensures project status and project plan is disseminated on time, decisions made or needed, issues, and changes to the plan with impact to scope, deliverables, resources and budget. Project Documentation follows naming conventions and standards.

Other Information:
- Three years of project management experience with progressively more complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Application/healthcare projects a plus.
- Prior experience working in a project management office environment a plus
- Prior experience administering project management applications; Clarity experience a plus.
- Ability to communicate and present to Director level and above
- High degree of organization and detail
- Proficient is MS Suite of Applications including Visio
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- PMP Certification a plus
