Senior Resident Consultant
- Participate in service delivery and working with a customer's IT team (both onsite and remote) and be recognised as a leading member for Nutanix product implementation, operation and administration.
- Clarify and comprehend the customer's short—and long-term IT objectives or OLA and align yourself with your day-to-day activities.
- Leveraging extensive knowledge of Nutanix products and features to assist customers in planning strategic implementations and/or operations support for their Nutanix environment.
- Be responsible for delivering Nutanix Implementations and/or Virtual Infra operations support.
- Leverage Nutanix IP by working collaboratively with architects/SMEs to blend Nutanix best practices to accelerate the adoption and expansion of their Nutanix environment.
- Be proactive and actively assume, assess, and identify possible areas of improvement in the customer's IT environment.
- Collaborates with the Nutanix Sales Team in identifying and communicating new opportunities and ongoing customer status and reporting.
- Participation in practice development and soft and technical skill development is required to keep up with the rapidly growing industry.
- Based on your management's direction, part of your workload may cover related Nutanix service offerings or spot engagements within Services Consulting or Residency.
- Sound experience of a minimum 3 - 5 years in an IT enterprise environment
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with Virtualised IT environments
- Knowledge of Nutanix AOS/AHV and VMware ESXi or other converged or hyper-converged platforms
- Able to independently analyse and diagnose highly complex problems across different platforms.
- Experience in professional services consulting and IT infra operations support is preferred.
- Experience and comfort in troubleshooting and handling escalations
- Participate in planning and hands-on execution of:
- Deployment, installation, and configuration of Nutanix core products
- SW/FW Upgrades and patching
- DR planning, setting, restoration
- VM lifecycle Management (creation, deletion, cloning, snapshot etc.)
- V2V and P2V Migrations
- Capacity planning & reporting
- Participate in the planning and execution of DR drills
- Strong ability for documentation, presentation, business meeting organising & facilitation with post-action management.
- Customer-centric approach, excellent verbal and written communication skills with proactiveness that leads to outstanding business relationships.
- Reading and Writing level English skills are mandatory.
- A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma is mandatory (I.E. Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems is preferred).
- Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VCAP, VCIX, CCNA, CCIA and RHCE are preferred.
