About the opportunity:

The Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of worldwide revenue by providing technical expertise, business sense, and a strong desire to improve processes and controls.   Strong knowledge of ASC 606 is required.  The Revenue Accounting Manager will also be responsible for the administration of the global sales commission process.  The Revenue Accounting Manager reports to the Controller. 


What your contributions will be:

  • Serve as an internal technical accounting expert for revenue accounting, per ASC 606
  • Exercise judgment within defined policies and authoritative literature to determine appropriate action related to revenue-related transactions and write related technical memos
  • Manage the revenue team in the review of contracts and sales orders
  • Manage the monthly close process related to revenue including the timely completion of close items, analytical review, deferred revenue schedule and other reports
  • Prepare account reconciliations of deferred revenue accounts
  • Prepare standalone selling price (SSP) study
  • Be primary point of contact in revenue-related audit activities
  • Develop and document revenue accounting policies and procedures
  • Administer monthly and quarterly sales commissions payments
  • Account for sales commissions in accordance with ASC 606 and ASC 340
  • Deliver revenue and commissions reports to Financial Planning & Analysis team during period end processes
  • Provide ad hoc reports to various business partners as necessary


What you will bring to the team:

  • 4+ years professional experience in accounting/finance, preferably with a SaaS company
  • 2+ years of ASC 606 revenue recognition experience
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience
  • Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills; process oriented.
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Excellent time management, decision making and organization skills
  • Must be able to work well with others as part of a team


What you will need for success:

  • CPA
  • Knowledge of and Netsuite
  • Ability to manage programs and processes globally
  • Ability to communicate across various functional groups within an organization, globally
  • Must be able to accurately compile and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment


Ideally you will have:

  • Bachelors in Accounting
