About the opportunity:

NetDocuments is seeking a Principal Product Designer to join our team and lead the charge in crafting modern, unparalleled digital experiences. The Principal Product Designer will report to the Sr Director of User Experience. The NetDocuments Product Design team is a diverse group of hard-working, highly collaborative, and fun design geeks. Each designer brings a unique perspective in the pursuit of delivering better user outcomes for legal professionals.

 

What your contributions will be:

  • Charting the design course for our products, setting the bar for design excellence and consistency across all platforms 
  • Working closely with product managers & owners, engineers, and stakeholders in delivering better customer outcomes 
  • Originating design artifacts such as journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes optimized for a wide range of platforms and devices 
  • Communicating design rationale with precision and confidence to stakeholders and team members 
  • Finding and solving design challenges before they become problems 
  • Continuously research and stay up to date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies 
  • Promoting NetDocuments Product Design through various channels, including writing, speaking, social media, and community engagement 

 

What you will bring to the team:

  • 8+ years of experience in product design, with a clear portfolio showing end-to-end design process and problem-solving for enterprise software solutions 
  • High level of proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or InVision 
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, including user research, testing, and measurement 
  • Expertise in design systems principles, creation, and use 
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and best practices, experience with accessibility testing and evaluation tools 
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of designers at the project level 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders and team members 
  • Experience flourishing with cross-functional agile teams in a remote environment
  • Portfolio of work that demonstrates your skill and knowledge in product design
