Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Full Time HRIS & Training Development Specialist in Nashville, TN.
The HRIS & Training and Development Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) while supporting the design, delivery, and evaluation of employee training and development programs. This dual role ensures accurate HR data management and reporting, while also fostering employee growth, compliance, and engagement through learning initiatives.  This position will work directly with individual leaders to build frameworks, SOP’s (standard operating procedures), and structures to align department outcomes with strategic goals.
 
As a HRIS & Training Development Specialist, you will:  
  • Administer and maintain the HRIS to ensure accuracy, security, and data integrity.
  • Input, update, audit employee records and HR data.
  • Generate and analyze HR reports (headcount, turnover, compliance, performance, etc.) to support decision-making.
  • Train HR staff and managers on HRIS functionality and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors for HRIS upgrades, system enhancements, and integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security standards, and HR policies.
  • Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with managers and leadership.
  • Develop individual leadership frameworks, SOP’s structures to align departmental outcomes with strategic goals.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate training programs (onboarding, compliance, leadership, technical skills, soft skills) for leadership success.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for personal growth opportunities.
  • Manage learning management systems (LMS) and maintain training records.
  • Develop instructional materials, e-learning modules, and job aids.
  • Track training effectiveness through metrics, surveys, and performance outcomes.
  • Support succession planning and employee career development initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field or comparable certifications or work experience
  • 2–5 years of HR experience with IT/HRIS administration and training/development responsibilities
  • Knowledge of HR processes, compliance, and learning methodologies.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP, UKG, Oracle, or similar) and LMS platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with attention to detail.
