Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for Orthopedic Clinic in Nashville, TN.
The Registered nurse delivers care for patients across their life span, and through the use of the nursing process, assesses and documents the effects of care. Works cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, medical and other team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. *This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm*
As a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse, you will:
- Greet and answer patients general questions regarding care
- Prepare new patient charts while ensuring all proper forms are complete, current and entered into charting system.
- Monitor and record patient vitals
- Assists physicians and/or physician’s assistant with special procedures, gathers necessary equipment of instruments, positions patient and responds to instructions given by physician or physician’s assistant.
- Patient education on physician’s plan of care
- Wound cleaning, suture removal and dressing of wounds
- Must possess a current licensure to practice as a Registered/Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Tennessee
- Current certification in BLS.
- Associates Degree in Nursing preferred
