About the role 
An exciting opportunity for a Plate Maker to join our team based in our Capalaba site. Your key role will consist of producing flexographic plates with established procedures to job specifications using platemaking, testing and digital equipment. You will also be responsible for checking and issuing existing plates and some machine tooling both in accordance with the production schedules. We are looking to cover the afternoon shift from 2pm which carries the benefit of 20% loading however we are flexible.
Responsibilities include: 
  • Follow all safety and QA procedures
  • Work autonomously to plan, prioritise, execute, and manage a workload according to Production schedules
  • Troubleshoot to determine causes of operational issues and take actions to remedy
  • Perform preventative maintenance to sustain operational condition of machinery
  • Monitoring of consumables for ordering purposes
  • Liaison with Prepress Operators and Production as required
  • Encourage, promote, and support continual improvement and 6S projects
  • General house cleaning of the work area 
  • Data entry and record keeping
