Primary Purpose:

The Data and Analytics Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of data-driven strategies, processes, and solutions within the organization. This position involves leading a team of data professionals, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning:
    • Execute a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with the international organization's goals and objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for leveraging data to enhance business processes, improve customer experience, and drive innovation (machine learning and predictive analytics).
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and manage a team of data professionals in a manner consistent with Agile development/delivery methodologies
    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development to team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Data Management and Governance:
    • Establish data governance frameworks and standards to ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (as MCC grows through acquisitions).
    • Oversee data integration, transformation, and storage processes to support effective data utilization.
  • Analytics and Insights:
    • Drive the design and development of advanced analytical models and algorithms to extract actionable insights from data.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and create dashboards and reports that provide relevant insights to support decision-making.
  • Technology and Tools:
    • Drive standardization of data analytics tools, platforms, and technologies to simplify and enhance data processing, storage, and analysis capabilities.
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., marketing, operations, finance) to understand their data needs and provide data-driven solutions to address business challenges.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage and prioritize data and analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to optimize data processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall data infrastructure.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the data and analytics team.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. MBA or relevant business experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in data analysis, data management, and analytics, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and database management.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced analytics techniques (machine learning, predictive modeling).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights.
  • Leadership skills, including team management, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Application Architecture
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment
