We are searching for a Sales Manager, responsible for managing the sales and team for our Penang Plant in Malaysia with the aim of achieving sales and revenue targets whilst growing the business.
Key Performance Areas:
- Collaborating with the ASIA regional team to establish and execute sales goal for the local market
- Implement the sales strategies as per the annual strategy and budget plan.
- Focus on Sales growth with an emphasis of building an effective strategy to untapped new growth markets and segments through an actionable plan and drive teams towards a unified mission and ambition that meet or exceed corporate-set goals.
- Continue to acquire market intelligence, competitiveness, understand impacts of supply and demand to the industry and realign product, marketing, product and sales plan and strategy accordingly.
- Constantly aliasing with customers at different levels, understand trends, expectations and receive feedback to improve our delivery and engagement.
- Effectively forecasting against key metrics to grow sales against targets. Build on resources and tools readiness against market potential and accessibility.
- Built up an effective sales and execution team to capture the demand and secure the sales and deliver against projected time frame.
- Responsible for people management with a focus on employee growth and development (internal and external) in order to execute strategy developed for the country.
- Responsible for preparing reports to management on current position of the segment/industry and any current and future actions for the country.
- Ensuring compliance with the sales governance processes and best practice.
- Ensuring a robust and accurate outlook process at all times and shortfalls to plan identified and remedial actions carried out promptly.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills required:
- 10 years’ experience in Sales and Strategic Marketing from the printing/packaging industry supplying into Healthcare/Electronics or related industries preferred.
- Degree is required.
- Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work on a few potential deals at a given time.
- Own strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to analyze complicated issues.
- Be able to make the tough decision and have strong managerial courage.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work with people at multiple levels both internal and external of the organisation.
- Good English communication.
- Make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics.
- Rational, logical, fact-driven, and reality driven decision making.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Communicate regularly with peers/colleagues at pan-EMEAAA and global level.
- Travel and move about in offices and plants.
- Demonstrate a professional image.
