Join the new MCC and you will have the opportunity to become part of an organization that has been committed to excellence and industry leadership for over 110 years.

We are seeking to provide additional resources to our Engineering team by appointing an Engineering Technician.

The Role

In this exciting and varied role you will undertake planned and preventative maintenance of our manufacturing equipment in addition to responding to faults and breakdowns.  You will be expected to fault-find and rectify issues as and when they occur in order to maximise machine uptime.  You will also be responsible for site services and facilities maintenance as well as new installation work and project work.

The Person

With an electrical bias, you will be a multi-skilled engineer ideally with print/packaging experience.  You should be time-served and have a HNC in electrical or electronic engineering and training in 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations, or equivalent.  You will also have experience of PLC’s (programming and fault-finding), process controls and AC / DC and Servo drives.  Although this is an electrically biased role you will be expected to undertake all mechanical and pneumatic duties to ensure production downtime is minimised.  Outside of normal working hours, during times of absence or holidays, you may be the only shift engineer on site and therefore, you should be a confident decision-maker, an effective communicator, a motivated self-starter and a well organised individual.

We will look at supporting a sponsored Skilled Worker visa (formerly a Tier 2 General work visa) if necessary.
