Job Scope

Statutory Reporting

  • Maintain database of Company entities subject to statutory audit and taxation, including relevant information.
  • Coordinate and support auditors for certain Company entities in the statutory audit process.
  • Understand, track and report statutory audit requirements, progress and findings for Company entities globally.
  • Understand, track and propose process or control improvements to reduce occurrence of audit adjustments. Continuously assess and revisit issues raised by auditors to ensure appropriate resolution.
  • Ensure reconciliation of financial results from statutory books to management books.
  • Ensure full adherence to document retention requirements by regulatory authorities in country of operations of business unit.

 Management Reporting and Taxation

  • Maintain, track and report on lease accounting for Company entities.
  • Understand, track and report on balance sheet accounts reconciliation.
  • Assist and support certain Company entities corporate tax estimation and tax return.

 Technical Focus

  • Contribute to finance discussions relating to statutory reporting, corporate reporting, and consolidation.
  • Prepare group’s consolidation work to meet statutory deadline
  • Execute routine and ad-hoc technical accounting work (e.g. lease accounting)
  • Keep up with latest developments in financial reporting and assess impact to Company statutory reporting.

 Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of positive change in the shared service processes in the Company.
  • Leverage on use of technology and implement cost-neutral process enhancements.

 Service Level

  • Promote a strong service ethos to support delivery to agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Act as the focal point to ensure effective communication and resolution of key process / change management issues and decisions.
  • Build long-term relationships with Company internal customers and leadership.

Requirements: 
  • Minimum working experience of at least 2 years would be an added advantage.
  • Accounting degree or equivalent.
  • Exposure to audit /commercial.
  • SAP / SSC experience preferred.
