We are currently looking for a highly motivated technology procurement professional with excellent analytic and sourcing best practice skills to join Multi-Color Corporation as a Sr. Global Category Buyer, IT . The Sr. Global Category Buyer, IT is responsible for supporting the category manager in defining and executing the strategic IT sourcing strategy by: collaborating with IT stakeholders to understanding IT needs, conducting sourcing events, evaluating event results, negotiating with suppliers, contracting and performing contract management. The Sr Buyer is a sourcing professional, negotiator, and project manager accountable for end-end sourcing and contracting. This role provides essential procurement and supplier expertise in the areas of strategic sourcing and category management with strong commercial and contractual experience. This role will deliver high quality, innovative and proven cost-effective methodologies to support the company and department objectives. This role will interface and foster a collaborative environment with cross functional teams. This role requires exceptional verbal and written communication, strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Supports the development of sourcing strategies within the IT category by utilizing appropriate sourcing tools, aligning key business stakeholder needs, identifying supply alternatives, and recommending the sourcing approach while establishing the project plan/timeline to deliver an effective sourcing solution.
- Under direction of the Category Manager, manage a subset of the approximately $40M per year IT spend.
- Will provide strategic decision-support and recommendations to business stakeholders to maximize and ensure the value of supplier performance at MCC and its 100+ Global locations
- Deliver cost savings, operational efficiencies, and/or added value by leading cross functional stakeholders through fact/evidence-based, data-driven sourcing initiatives
- Market and competitive analysis, creation of leverage, and professional negotiations to secure the best quality, service, and cost to meet MCC’s business needs
- Must be comfortable with operating in a continuous improvement atmosphere and achieving year over year results.
- Support the development of technology and/ or tool requirements.
- Job Functions include

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Location: preferably hybrid in Rosemont, IL
- 7+ years of progressive business experience
- 2+ years sourcing and contracting experience within the IT category, including experience developing and executing global strategic sourcing strategies to deliver against business objectives for internal clients.
- Solid understanding of general legal contract terms & conditions and experience with IT contracts required.
- Have advanced knowledge and training in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proactively identify (through analysis and business unit partnerships) opportunities, develop and execute on sourcing opportunities driving cost savings, cost avoidance, risk reduction, enhanced business outcomes and process improvements, and improved service meeting current and future business and category needs
- Lead negotiations with new or potential suppliers, as well as current suppliers (for renewals); negotiations including pricing and commercial terms as well as legal terms, working with our legal team.
- Establish trusting relationships with senior level leadership and internal business partners; building a robust understanding of strategic business direction, requirements, and priorities across spend categories.
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and benchmarking analysis; leveraging key-insights to inform and support the category strategy development process.
- Manage the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
- Embrace fact‐based decision making; leverage and/or integrate market or benchmark data, spend analytics, and cost modeling.
- Manage critical supplier relationships; develops plans with providers that support business goals and strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent understanding of IT sourcing fundamentals and a demonstrated track record of facilitating and executing successful sourcing initiatives (including thorough understanding of contracting methods and procedures, techniques of contract writing, purchasing law, and ethics)
- Must possess excellent influencing skills as well as strong interpersonal communication skills for building relationships with internal stakeholders and supplier executives at all levels
- Must be a skilled negotiator with a proven ability to move to a supplier's best and final offer in the designated time frame for the project
