About the role
An exciting and immediate opportunity for a Pre-Press: Screen and Platemaker to join our established print operations team based in our East Tamaki plant. This full-time permanent position (40 hours a week) that will be working on a Day shift and will join a team who are the success behind our label professionals. Working hours are:
- 08:00 – 16:30
The Pre-Press: Screen and Platemaker is responsible for making Flexo, Offset, Embossing Plates and Screens.
Responsibilities include:
- Process the job as per the relevant SOPs & customer requirements.
- Make Screens and printing plates in prepress department.
- Quality checking all externally received tooling, filed away in appropriate tool storage.
- Cleaning and Storage of Pre-Press tooling.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting tasks.
- Collaboration with technical support or maintenance teams for more complex repairs or issues requiring specialised expertise.
- Monitor equipment outputs, including print quality, system performance, or data integrity, and address any issues or errors promptly.
- Load and unload materials and supplies.
- Maintain inventory levels of necessary supplies.
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and production output.

About you
- Experience in Pre-Press and printing processes.
- Understanding Pre-Press technologies and computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to stand for long periods (whole shift)
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 15kg's.
- Physically capable of regularly twisting, bend & conduct manual handling tasks.
- Your natural working style is with a sense of urgency.
