Manage assigned maintenance operations with responsibilities for Safety, Quality, Service and Productivity. This position will be a working position, meaning the Manager is expected to participate in maintenance tasks as they arise, similar to Maintenance Techs.

Responsibilities:
- Safety, Housekeeping and Environmental: Instill a sense of self-responsibility for safety, housekeeping and environmental compliance among employees. Assure the safety of the employees and safe use of the equipment.
- Financial: Support Plant budget by controlling labor and overtime, spare parts, supply spending, machine downtime and capital projects.
- Leadership: Continually improve leadership and management skills.
- Goals and Objectives: Support production's operating metrics, such as NFPM, MMSI, percent uptime, waste reduction and housekeeping. This position will be a working position, meaning the Manager is expected to participate in maintenance tasks as they arise, similar to Maintenance Techs.
- Maintenance Management: Balance maintenance personnel, equipment functionality and production needs with the Plant objectives, improving overall through-put.
- Technical Knowledge: Continue to build and enhance technical skills related to equipment and production processes in order to increase equipment productivity and up-time.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of relentless pursuit of continuous improvement, focused and data based.
- People: Build a high performing and skilled team to instill ownership of maintenance objectives through selection, performance assessments, training and development of employees. Assure the development of people at all levels.
- Customer Relationship: Promote a customer-centered culture at the plant, including assuring productivity and on-time deliveries of a quality product through up-time of equipment.
- Quality: Optimize the production process to assure that quality is built-in, not inspected in. Quality levels must meet customer requirements.
- Vendor Management: Manage assigned vendor relationships and contract maintenance for the Plant.
- Values: Model the Corporate Values and Principles.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Maintenance management experience required with relevant industry experience preferred, with proven ability to run a maintenance organization within a manufacturing operation. Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
Other considerations:
- Computer Skills -Literate in Microsoft Office or the equivalent. Capability to learn business information systems.
- Language Ability - Articulate, clear, persuasive and passionate in the spoken and written word.
- Math Ability - College prep math required, statistical analysis preferred.
- Physical Demands - Move about in the plant. Manipulate heavy objects. Use hand and power tools.
