The Sustainability Technician is responsible for managing all waste streams to minimize waste and increase recycling.

This is a 3rd shift position,

Responsibilities:

• Sort all “waste” to maximize recycling.
• Setup and maintain recycling bins at equipment to allow for easy separation of like goods.
• Operate compactors.
• Operate all baling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on baling equipment.
• Keep waste accumulation areas clean.
• Load recycle product onto trailers.
• Coordinate pick up of all recycle streams.
• Keep internal accumulation of recycle waste streams organized and areas clean.
• Perform other preventative maintenance tasks if time allows.
• Perform weekly cleaning plans as directed by Management.
• Help in Finishing department when time permits or directed by Management.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High level mechanical aptitude. 
• Must be able to maintain a working pace consistent with the requirements of the job.
• Must be able to handle and move press carts, roll, cylinders and other materials required for the successful completion of the job. 
• Must work well in a Team environment.
• Must be able to effectively give direction, praise, and criticism.
• Must be able to receive direction, praise and criticism effectively.
• May be required to work with Customers and Suppliers effectively.
