About the role
An exciting and immediate opportunity for a Digicon Print Operator to join our growing print operations team based in our East Tamaki plant. This position will rotate monthly between afternoon and night shifts & will join a team who are the success behind our label professionals. A great opportunity to develop & progress in your career and be an integral part of MCC’s world class premium label solutions. Shift hours:
- Afternoon: 1:45pm – 10pm
- Night: 9:45pm – 6am
The Digicon Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Digicon technology. Responsibilities include:
- Independent operation of the Digicon technology, ensuring proper setup and alignment
- Load and unload materials onto the Digicon, including labels, paper, film, or other substrates
- Monitoring the production process
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on the Digicon machine
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions that may occur during production
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production runs
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion
- Keep accurate records of production data.

About you
- Trade qualification in printing or similar
- Previous experience operating and maintaining digital finishing technology or similar technology
- Experience in label printing preferred
- Basic understanding of Digicon or AGB technologies, computer systems, or printing processes
- Mechanically minded
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team
- Your natural working style is with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to stand for long periods (whole shift)
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 10kg's
- Physically capable of regularly twisting, bend & conduct manual handling tasks
- Ability to see all colours (no colour blindness concerns)
- Eligible New Zealand working rights.
