We have ambitious initiatives to expand and enhance our multi-family mid- and high-rise offerings in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).  Mattamy’s new GTA Urban Division includes the company’s current collection of 40 high-rise projects and all multi-family developments within its master-planned communities in the Greater Toronto market and has aggressive growth targets for both the 416 and 905 regions of the GTA. The division will be led by a dedicated, experienced team focused on both growing Mattamy’s urban footprint and implementing innovative community design.


The role will focus on assisting with development management and associated planning applications for mixed-use residential condominium projects from acquisition to condominium registration, liaising internally between Marketing and Sales, Finance, and Construction and externally with project consulting teams and government authorities.



  • Support various development approvalsincluding Official Plan Amendments, Zoning Bylaw Amendments, Site Plan Agreements, and Condominium Registrationsby working with multi-disciplined consultant teams and various government authorities.
  • Maintain appropriate records of architectural, landscape, and engineering plans, as well as approvals, permits and agreements for each project.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, meeting minutes, budgets, cost tracking, and other financial reporting.
  • Develop and analyze project proforma models and cashflow forecasts to evaluate various development scenarios.
  • Assist in the investigation and evaluation of the feasibility of various built-form options for newly-acquired development sites, while providing input on the overall project vision and design.
  • Review and consolidate comments on technical reports, drawings, and other consultant work product and coordinate submissions for applications.
  • Support various internal departments (Marketing & Sales, Permitting, Construction, Warranty, and Finance) with as-needed tasks and identify ways to optimize coordination between internal stakeholders.
  • Stay current on new industry technologies and trends and municipal standards.
  • Help build industry and market presence and awareness.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary degree or Masters degree in Finance, Real Estate/Business, Planning, or Engineering.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience within the real estate development industry and/or Master’s degree with practical experience
  • Prior experience in real estate financial analysis and any related professional designations such as CFA, CPA, MBA is considered an asset but not required.
  • An understanding of planning policies, regulations, and approvals processes in Toronto and neighboring municipalities is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is required in financial modelling, cash flow projections and proforma analysis.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit would be considered a benefit.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, detail-oriented, and analytical with a strong desire to learn and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
