Legal Counsel - Gaming Lawyer

ABOUT THE ROLE               
Due to our continued growth we have an amazing opportunity for a Gaming Legal Counsel, who will join our Legal and Compliance Department, and work closely with our Product & Tech teams, in order to assist in all legal matters related to the engagement of, and maintaining business relationships, with various product and tech providers.  


  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex contracts with our suppliers for a variety of different tech products (such as B2B casino game providers, aggregators, tech tools integrated into our sites and / or used by the business).
  • Advising product and tech teams on relevant contract terms, their interpretation and application, and supporting them in ensuring that existing practices are in line with contractual obligations.
  • Taking responsibility for contracts with product and tech suppliers throughout the duration of the business relationship with the suppliers, including by handling all contractual amendments or supplements as necessary from time to time, in view of new projects undertaken by the business.
  • Working with the product and tech teams and other relevant stakeholders to create and implement new processes related to the onboarding of providers, and to iterate over and improve existing processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for optimization.
  • Assisting with and advising on any disputes with or legal proceedings involving product and tech suppliers working with our internal litigation team as well as external counsel.
  • Ensuring appropriate recording keeping setups in respect of legal documentation related to product and tech suppliers (contracts, due diligence documents etc).

Essential skills:

  • A law degree in an EU jurisdiction, however a masters level degree is preferred;
  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience in a similar role (or roles);
  • Evidence of experience drafting and negotiating contracts related to the licencing of online casino games and other gambling and tech products, and detailed understanding of the relevant legal principles underlying such contracts; 
  • Able to follow through all assigned tasks and projects to completion independently, and also to take direction and also take full ownership of the responsibilities assigned;
  • Uphold a high standard of work ethic, always ensuring to complete all assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
