We are seeking a motivated Mid Backend Developer to support and evolve our Order Management System (OMS) within a fast-paced automotive eCommerce environment.
Position: Mid Backend Developer
Location: LATAM
What you will be doing:
This role combines hands-on development in a LAMP-based system with the opportunity to contribute to the modernization of the OMS into a scalable, AI-powered platform. You will work closely with senior engineering leadership while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as operations, warehouse, and customer service.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 3 + years of professional software development experience
- Experience with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, PHP)
- Experience with PHP (7.x / 8.x)
- Working knowledge with JavaScript or TypeScript
- Working knowledge with Node.js for backend services or APIs
- Working experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL (queries, schema design, optimization)
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with Docker or containerization
- Background in eCommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom OMS)
- Understanding of order lifecycle processes (fulfillment, returns, inventory)
- Exposure to AI/ML tools or APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic)
- Knowledge of microservices or event-driven architectures
- Experience with frontend frameworks (React or Vue.js)
