• ^{Position Title: Senior Backend Developer (.NET Modernization Engineer)}

• ^{Location: LATAM (Remote / Regional)}

• ^{Objective: Lead the transformation of a large-scale legacy application into a modern, scalable, event-driven platform.}

^{The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can independently analyze complex legacy systems, design modern architectures, optimize database performance, and drive development initiatives while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.}

^{What You Will Be Doing}

• ^{Architectural Transformation: Lead the modernization of monolithic, legacy .NET Framework applications into modern, cloud-native, and scalable solutions.}

• ^{System Design: Design and implement distributed platforms using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event-Driven Development (EDD) practices.}

• ^{Database Optimization: Analyze, design, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server performance, including query tuning, indexing, and stored procedures.}

• ^{Independent Execution: Drive development initiatives independently as a senior individual contributor while ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams.}

^{Required Skills & Experience}

• ^{Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Microsoft technologies.}

• ^{Core Language: Strong expertise in C# and modern software development practices.}

• ^{Modernization: Proven experience working with legacy .NET Framework applications and migration/modernization initiatives.}

• ^{Architecture: Solid understanding and practical application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and asynchronous messaging solutions.}

• ^{Microsoft SQL Server Expertise:}

  • ^{Transact-SQL (T-SQL)}

  • ^{Stored procedures}

  • ^{Query optimization and performance tuning}

  • ^{Indexing strategies and database design}

• ^{AWS Cloud Services:}

  • ^{Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS)}

  • ^{Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)}

  • ^{Amazon EventBridge}

  • ^{AWS Lambda}

• ^{DevOps & Messaging: Working knowledge of message brokers, service brokers, or enterprise messaging platforms, alongside practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.}

• ^{AI Tools: Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity.}

• ^{Foundations: Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture principles, and distributed systems concepts.}

^{Nice to Have Skills}

• ^{Experience modernizing monolithic applications into service-oriented or event-driven architectures.}

• ^{Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems design.}

• ^{Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.}
