Position Title: Senior Backend Developer
Location: LATAM
What you will be doing:
We are seeking a Senior .NET Modernization Engineer to lead the transformation of a large-scale legacy application into a modern, scalable, event-driven platform. This role requires deep expertise in C#, .NET, SQL Server, and modern software architecture practices, with a strong focus on Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Development (EDD), cloud-native solutions, and application modernization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can analyze complex legacy systems, design modern architectures, optimize database performance, and drive development initiatives independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Microsoft technologies.
- Strong expertise in C# and modern software development practices.
- Experience working with legacy .NET Framework applications and modernization initiatives.
- Solid understanding and practical application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Hands-on experience implementing Event-Driven Architecture and asynchronous messaging solutions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including:
- Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
- Stored procedures
- Query optimization
- Performance tuning
- Indexing strategies
- Database design
- Experience with AWS cloud services, including:
- Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS)
- Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)
- Amazon EventBridge
- AWS Lambda
- Experience working with message brokers, service brokers, or enterprise messaging platforms.
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture principles, and distributed systems concepts.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience modernizing monolithic applications into service-oriented or event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems design.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and serverless architectures.
- Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and logging solutions.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation practices.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
