What you will be doing:
We are seeking a Senior backend Engineer to follow the design, development, and productization of external-facing APIs that power customer and partner integrations. This role is ideal for an engineer who has successfully transformed internal services into scalable API products, with a strong focus on developer experience, security, governance, and platform reliability.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and data teams to build API-driven solutions, integrate enterprise data sources, and establish best practices for API lifecycle management. teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years building production APIs that vend data to external consumers.
- Hands-on .NET / C# experience building production services and a willingness to
learn Python and other languages used across our stack (FastAPI, Pydantic,
SQLAlchemy, async patterns).
- Hands-on experience with an enterprise API gateway, Gravitee preferred; Kong,
Apigee, AWS API Gateway, or Mulesoft acceptable with willingness to ramp on Gravitee.
- Hands-on experience building data pipelines against both data warehouse and
streaming/event-driven sources.
- Strong SQL and a working understanding of analytical data models, facts,
dimensions, semantic views, not just transactional CRUD.
- OAuth2/JWT, API key management, mTLS, and practical experience implementing fine-
grained authorization.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (CDK or Terraform)
