We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer & OCR Specialist with AI & Low Code Tools to join Top Hat Engineering's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in frontend development to drive innovation and customer satisfaction in our cutting-edge fulfillment and distribution center technologies. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and robust software applications that enhance the customer experience. 

Location: Remote 

What you will be doing:

• Design and maintain API connections to integrate various systems and data
  sources.
• Ensure accurate data transmission between APIs and internal platforms.
  Utilize low-code tools to streamline API integration processes where
  applicable.
• Import, transform, and analyze data from Excel files using Python and Low-code tools.
• Implement automated processes to efficiently extract and process bulk data.
• Perform searches across multiple databases and systems to retrieve relevant
  information.
• Compare and validate retrieved data to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Develop and implement OCR processes to extract data from scanned
  documents or images.
• Continuously improve OCR accuracy using AI, machine learning techniques,
  and low-code solutions.
• Identify and resolve issues related to data extraction through OCR.
• Implement AI models using Python to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of
  OCR and data validation.
• Train and fine-tune models as needed to optimize OCR processes.
• Document all processes and results clearly and in detail.
• Generate periodic reports showing OCR performance and improvements
  implemented.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and robust
  software applications

Requirements & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in API development, Excel data processing, and using low-code tools.

• Experience with OCR technology and its continuous improvement.

• Familiarity with AI and machine learning techniques applied to data extraction and validation.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python as the primary programming language.

• Experience with OCR tools and libraries such as Tesseract.

• Familiarity with low-code platforms for API integration and data processing.

• Proficiency in data management and analysis using Excel and SQL databases.

• Experience in developing and fine-tuning AI and machine learning models.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with additional OCR tools beyond Tesseract.
• Knowledge of advanced data integration tools or middleware.
• Understanding of specific automation frameworks for Excel data processing.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Proficiency in additional programming languages.
• Familiarity with various reporting or documentation tools.
• Experience in the logistics, financial, or entertainment sectors.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
