We are seeking a proactive Subsurface Well Optimization Technician with strong analytical skills and extensive experience in artificial lift systems to enhance well performance and maximize productivity through data-driven solutions.

 

Position Title: Mid to Mid+ Subsurface Well Optimization Technician

 

Location: Remote - Colombia/Mexico

 

What you will be doing:

 

We are seeking a Subsurface Well Optimization Technician to join our team and play a critical role in enhancing well performance and artificial lift efficiency. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills to monitor, evaluate, and optimize well operations in the assigned Area of Review. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in artificial lift systems and the ability to implement data-driven solutions to maximize productivity. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate well performance within the assigned Area of Review to identify opportunities for improvement in artificial lift efficiency and productivity.
  • Design and implement optimization strategies for artificial lift systems, including adjustments to stroke length, SPM, and pumping unit sizing.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, diagnose underperforming wells, and recommend targeted optimization solutions.
  • Develop and maintain models for artificial lift systems to predict performance under varying operating conditions.
  • Utilize XSPOC SCADA systems to manage real-time data, perform diagnostics, and generate reports for ongoing optimization efforts.

 

Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil and gas operations, focusing on well operations and artificial lift systems.
  • Engineering experience is desired but not required.
  • Proven reliability experience, with a track record of diagnosing and resolving operational issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) for interaction with management, field personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using XSPOC SCADA systems or similar tools to monitor and optimize operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle a high workload while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
