Position Title: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Colombia (Remote)

 

What you will be doing:
As AI engineer, you will guide the design, development, and implementation of AI-based automation solutions. This role blends high-level design thinking with hands-on prototyping and team enablement.

 

  • Prototype initial versions of AI solutions, iterating across different software tools to identify optimal approaches before delegating and supervising implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with the frontend and backend teams to ensure seamless system integration and alignment with project goals.
  • Optimize and orchestrate intelligent agents, automation workflows, and backend services to improve reliability, exception handling, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor development velocity and implementation quality using technical indicators like system resilience under stress, clarity of end-user data output, and response accuracy.
  • Act as a key contributor in solution reviews, debugging sessions, and performance tuning activities.

 

Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Main Skills:
These are the must-haves that are essential for this position. 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning or AI-focused engineering roles.
  • Proven expertise in designing, prototyping, and leading implementation of AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), agent orchestration frameworks, and automation pipelines.
  • Advanced experience with NLP and audio processing, including ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), TTS (Text-to-Speech), voice activity detection, and sentiment analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience using ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Deep understanding of architectural decision-making, system modularization, and scalability in AI solutions, including no-code/low-code and backend integration.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model versioning, testing, and deployment in production environments.
  • Experience with real-time streaming systems and latency optimization for interactive AI applications.
  • Strong command of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with emphasis on AI and speech processing services.
  • Ability to define and enforce quality standards, including stress testing, exception handling, and monitoring of key performance indicators.
  • Excellent debugging and system troubleshooting skills, particularly in multi-component or distributed AI systems.
  • Outstanding communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable technical strategies.
  • Secondary Skills:

  • Familiarity with LLMs, agent frameworks, and orchestration tools (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, Zapier, Make)
  • Experience working with frontend teams and aligning backend-AI interfaces
  • Cloud architecture knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Strong documentation skills (technical diagrams, API flows, DevDocs)
  • Comfort with fast prototyping tools, experimentation with emerging AI platforms
  • Exposure to DevOps practices or CI/CD for ML pipelines
  • Data clarity principles (ensuring transparency in client-facing outputs)
  • Soft skills:
