Position: Senior Data Engineer
Location: LATAM
What you will be doing:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures. This role requires deep expertise in modern data platforms, particularly Snowflake and AWS services, along with strong programming and data modeling skills. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making by ensuring reliable, efficient, and secure data systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, security)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data transformations and optimization
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Extensive experience with AWS services:
- S3 (data storage and management)
- Lambda (serverless processing)
- Glue (ETL orchestration)
- SQS (event-driven architectures)
- Experience with version control and collaboration tools such as GitHub
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale, distributed data systems
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
- Familiarity with streaming/data event architectures
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
- Exposure to DevOps/DataOps practices
