Currently, we are seeking a Technical Product Owner with a strong English level to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:
Position Title: Technical Product Owner
Location: Remote / LATAM
What you will be doing:
- Ack as the interface between business stakeholders and developers, translating business requirements into technical stories and tickets.
- Work with QA to create automation scripts, handle manual regression testing, and oversee user acceptance testing.
- Manage a backlog of support tickets and enhancement requests, turning them into technical tickets for developers.
- Break larger requests into epics and define related tasks.
- Oversee integrations with third-party systems (e.g., TMS, financial systems) and ensure smooth operation of proprietary systems.
- Use Jira to track and manage project tickets, bugs, and enhancements.
- Ensure tasks are appropriately scoped, defined, and assigned to relevant team members.
- Understand and become the subject matter expert for our key applications.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and development teams.
- Advocate for stakeholder needs throughout the development process.
- Develop business process workflows and designs in conjunction with stakeholders.
- Analyze, clarify, and validate business needs to ensure alignment with technical solutions.
- Review prototypes to ensure business understanding of any user interface changes.
- Craft detailed technical user stories based on product requirements.
- Define acceptance criteria and test user stories to ensure quality and completeness.
- Provide real-time business application support for production issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Ensure timely delivery of project commitments by working efficiently under aggressive deadlines.
- Participate in multiple concurrent projects, adjusting to changing priorities as needed.
- Support integrations between application systems and third-party software.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Main Skills:
These are the must-haves that are essential for this position.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an agile software environment.
- Experience with Jira for ticketing management and confluence for documentation.
- Knowledge of API and EDI, as well as formats such as XML, x12, JSON, or other file formats.
- Understanding system integrations is key, as the company interacts with various third-party applications (e.g., TMS systems, financial systems like Microsoft Dynamics, and Salesforce).
- Understanding of database schemas and ability to perform scripts to extract information for testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience with smoke testing.
- Experience working with integrations between application systems and third-party software.
- Familiarity with Postman for API testing.
- Experience with MySQL as a primary database.
- Experience with business process definition, systems implementation, and support.
- Ability to clearly communicate and present proposed technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
- Familiarity with user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Familiarity with logistics and transportation management systems (TMS) is a bonus but not mandatory.
