POSITION SUMMARY:
As our Operations Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to support the Director of Business Intelligence, VP of Operations, President, and CEO in using data to define, measure and report key metrics of the organization that can be used to increase efficiency and profitability. In this role, you’ll work to determine business requirements, priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and develop a business intelligence and data warehouse (DW) strategy. Through an intimate understanding of the business operations, analysis of data, and your expert organizational skills, you’ll be refining and mining meaningful insights from this data to communicate metrics and business insights to company leadership. In addition, you’ll support and help train other members of the business intelligence team and collaborate with business and development teams to design and document dashboards, alerts, and reports. 
 
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with internal/external customers and IT partners to develop and analyze business intelligence needs
  • Provide input to business requirements for the design of solutions & improvement of data integrity
  • Research business problems, create models that help analyze and resolve business problems
  • Perform analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms
  • Explore operational data currently warehoused within Podio CRM to discover patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends
  • Organize discoveries and convey succinct business improvement recommendations to business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create concise and relevant reports that will be used in the management of day-to-day business operations
  • Work with senior management to produce projections that will be used in organizational planning and long-term resource allocation
  • Recommend standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure, and attributes of the BI tools and systems
  • Support and train other business intelligence team members
  • Communicate effectively the various business insights to business leaders to help steer the organizational activity in a more effective direction
  • Perform other duties as assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in an analyst role
  • Knowledge of or experience in the solar & renewables sector strongly preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
  • Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision 
  • Interpersonal skills to work with different management levels 
  • Strong business acumen 
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Intense focus and ability to analyze complex scenarios to derive simple solutions
  • Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues
  • Basic financial knowledge of revenue and profitability
  • Hands on experience with CRM software (Podio) and MS Office (MS Excel, specifically)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Management, or specialized training/certification
